So I ran into two Alaskan Malamutes in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Eastwood a week or so back. I'm told by their owners that they're the only breed of their kind in the country and that they were given hell to just import them. They're huge dogs, practically as heavy as I am or even heavier.
